Assessment of the 1st edition

For its 2nd edition, the meeting welcomed 90 participants at the Grenoble Institut of Neurosciences (GIN). It was organized around 12 oral presentations, performed by invited PhD students and senior researchers (Laura Soucek and Alan Sanfey), and included several poster sessions. As wished by the organizing committee, the poster sessions were produced by students from the institute (8 posters) and by invited PhD students (6 posters).

This event included people from several European institutes / centers of research: Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour (Nijmegen, Netherlands) ; Danish Research Centre for Magnetic Resonance (Copenhagen, Denmark), Child and Adolescent Mental Health Centre (Copenhagen, Denmark) ; Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Lausanne, Switzerland) ; Laboratory of Neuroenergetics (Lausanne, Switzerland) ; Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (Barcelona, Spain) ; Humanitas Clinical and Research Institute (Rozzano, Italy) ; Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Neurotherapies (Lausanne, Switzerland) ; Erasmus Medical Center (Rotterdam, Netherlands).

The themes addressed during this congress were various, from neurodegenerative diseases (ALS, Alzheimer, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s disease…) to more technical concerns (new method of transcriptome analysis, fMRI) including a set of different subjects: anxiety disorders, neuronal networks, linear mapping, anorexia nervosa, myeloma, diurne cycle, reprogramming glial cells and BDNF.

Due to the success and positive feedback of this edition, the Neurodocs team decided to organize a third on May, 25th 2018.
